Obituary for Anastasia Boncariwsky (Kowal)

Anastasia “Nellie” Kowal Boncariwsky, 90, of Auburn, died Monday June 13, 2016 at the Finger Lakes Center for Living.
Mrs. Boncariwsky was a life resident of the Auburn area, the daughter of the late Michael and Fotinia Orysek Kowal. She was a former employee of General Electric, Auburn, retiring in 1991. She was a communicant of SS Peter & Paul Church, and a member of the church Altar Rosary Society. She spent her time gardening and enjoying her family.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Ann Marie and Johnny Nevidomsky of Auburn, three grandchildren Tyler (Ashley), Tanya (Nicholas Galka) and Zachary (Nicole) Nevidomsky, and three great grandchildren Gianna, Anastasia and Nikolai. Also surviving are her sisters, Helen Sage, Elizabeth McDonald and Sr. Miriam Claire (Virginia Kowal) OSBM, her brother David (Cathy) Kowal, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph Boncariwsky in 1984, and her sisters Mary and Julia Kowal, Sophie Barry and Ann (Barbara) Crawford.
Funeral services for Nellie will be at 10:30 A.M. Thursday in SS Peter & Paul Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Friends are invited to call from 9 a.m. til 10 a.m. Thursday at the Plis Funeral Home, 220 State St., Auburn.
