Obituary for Henry A. Noga

Henry A. “Hank” Noga, 88, of Auburn, died Thursday June 16, at Auburn Community Hospital, with his family by his side.
Henry was born in Auburn February 4, 1928, the son of the late John and Helen Tarala Noga. He served 12 years in the Navy, and was a veteran of WW II, and the Korean Conflict. He was retired from ALCO. He was deeply involved with his church; St. Hyacinth’s, where he was a life member, served as an Usher, member of the Holy Name Society, and spent many hours making Pierogis for the church. He was a member and Director of the Polish Falcons, and a member of the Swietoniowski-Kopeczek Post American Legion, member and past president of the Falcon Sportsmen’s Club. He was a member of the Golf League at Indian Head Golf Course, and bowled for many years at the Polish Falcons, and Polish Home. He served many years as a Bingo Commissioner for the City of Auburn, and was treasurer for a local NASCAR Club. His family and friends will always remember him as an active member of the community and his church.
He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years Ruby Dunaway Noga, his daughter Mary (Richard) Pelc, his sons David (Elizabeth) Noga and Andrew (Nancy) Noga, four grandchildren Rick and Shawn Pelc Ryan (Ashley) Noga, and Julie (Nicholas D’Alessandro) Noga, and great grandchild Grace Noga. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers Joseph (Horn) Noga and John (Donny) Noga.
Funeral services for Hank will be at 10 A.M. Tuesday in St. Hyacinth’s Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Friends are invited to call Monday from 4 to 7 P.M. at the Plis Funeral Home, 220 State St.
