Obituary for Andrew M. Branson

Andrew M.  Branson
Andrew M. Branson of Dewitt and Marcellus passed away Monday January 9, 2017 after an extended illness. He was a 2001 graduate of Marcellus High School and in 2006 from Clarkson University with a degree in Business Technology Management. He was a member of the National Honors Society at Marcellus and played several sports but most notably lacrosse. While at Clarkson, he had received a President’s Citation as a freshman and had been Captain of the lacrosse team. He had been employed with a local insurance company and bank as well as a local sporting goods company.
He is survived by his parents Bill and Laurie Northrup Branson, sister Kathryn Dennis (Shane) of Newport, RI, brothers Bruce Northrup (Trish) of North Kingstown, RI and Andrew Northrup (Amy) of Glenview, IL, along with his aunt and uncle William C. and Diane Steckel, several cousins, and 5 nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother Laurie A. Steckel Branson who passed away in 1990 and with whom he will be buried with.
A spring memorial service and burial are planned.
In Andrew’s memory, gifts may be made to the Marcellus Free Library or the Mildred Mulroy Scholarship at Marcellus High School.
