Elizabeth Alice (Jewell) Pfeifer, 95, passed away on July 25, 2017, at Van Duyn Center. She is the daughter of Leroy Thompson Jewell and Margie (Sweet) Jewell of Marietta, New York.

Elizabeth Pfeifer was predeceased by her husband, Amiel Sidney Pfeifer, her grandson Shawn Crowley, her sister, Jane (David) Kaser, and three brothers: Rev. Leroy Douglas (Elizabeth) Jewell, Kenneth Neil (Gertrude) Jewell and Clarence Leonard Jewell.

Surviving Mrs. Pfeifer are her four children: Linda (Zack) Deal of Clinton, NC, Jewell Killoren (Thomas Checkosky) of Syracuse, Nancy (Norman) Volles of Marietta, and Ellis (Jeanette) Pfeifer of Bradenton, FL. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2017, at 10 A.M. at the Marietta United Christian Church, 2819 Route 174, Marietta, NY, followed by a family burial service at Amber Cemetery. A light luncheon will be served at the Marietta House on Route 174 following the services.
