Jon Paul

My heart felt condolences to Aunt Pat, Paul, Jo-Ann, Jay, and their families. So sorry guys for your loss. I DO understand!! I'm so sorry too that we won't be able to make it there for services, but know that I have special memories of Uncle Jack that will always be with me. Most prominent, of course, is when Star Wars first came out in 1977, and he made a point to call me and Ted so we could accompany him to the theater for it. It seemed like he was always doing stuff like that, that you never quite expected--a pleasant surprise!! Thinking back I remember many evenings in my young life sitting on a stack of catalogs on a kitchen chair at his house while he gave me a haircut. (I have stopped getting them now in his honor :) ) I remember staying overnight with Jay, and waking up on Saturday morning for breakfast, only to have Uncle Jack come breezing though the door, fresh off an overnight shift, popping open a beer and drinking it while we ate our Frosted Flakes!! I remember all the laughs and home movies shown at Thanksgiving get togethers at our house. I remember him visiting mom in the afternoon for coffee, only to leap to his feet when it was time to go, and bang his head on the hanging light over the kitchen table!! "Well Sis," he would say, "Smash!!!" I remember hunting stories, and life stories that would always leave you laughing. It's good he has gone to be with the Lord, where he will live forever with no pain or sorrow--no trials or troubles. Free to be with his sisters and parents--a perfect existence. We should all contemplate that, and feel happy knowing that we too will be there someday!! We will never forget you Uncle Jack!! RIP
