Obituary for Kimberly A. Lamberton (Sala)

Kimberly Sala Lamberton, age 35, passed away December 8, 2018 at Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse, NY surrounded by family. Kim was born July 7, 1983 in Albany, NY to Richard Sala and Christine Morgan. She graduated Shaker High in 2001 and went on to obtain a Masters Degree in Mental Health Counseling from the College of Saint Rose in 2014. Kim married Gary Lamberton, Jr. on February 2, 2013 and the couple gave birth to two beautiful children, Myles and Morgan.
Kim was a talented singer, musician and artist. She loved to spend time with family and friends, enjoyed theater, baking Christmas cookies and loved the ocean. She was eager to help teens through her counseling career and had only just begun. Her greatest joy, though, came from being a mother. She had a knack for every aspect from creative crafts to consoling, from active play to bedtime and from teaching love and empathy to mindful discipline. She loved being a mother to Myles and Morgan more than anything.
Kim has left behind a wonderful legacy of kindness, positivity and light. She is survived by her husband, Gary; her children, Myles and Morgan; her sister, Kerri Wakeman; her parents, Richard Sala and Christine Morgan: her step-father Mike Dempsey and well as numerous cousins, aunts, uncles and in-laws.
Kim is interred at Greenridge Cemetery in Saratoga Springs, NY. A celebration of life will be held in February for family and friends to share stories, reminisce and provide loving support. Details to be announced via social media or on the funeral home website.
