Obituary for Marvin McQuaid

Marvin McQuaid went home to be with our Heavenly Father on August 25, 2015. Marvin was born in Camden, NJ, the son of the late Morley and Doris Stoughtenger McQuaid. He has resided in the Auburn area since 1965. He was retired from CENTRO Auburn, and along with his wife Marylou owned McQuaid's Antiques and Jewelry in Auburn for the past 44 years. He and Marylou operated the successful Cayuga County Pet Food Pantry.
He is survived by his loving wife Marylou, two sons, John and his wife Anne McQuaid of Canastota, and Marvin McQuaid Jr. of Oklahoma City, OK, and his grandchildren Julianne and Christian McQuaid of New York and grandsons Thomas, Michael and Zachary of Oklahoma. He is also survived by his sister Geraldine Albright of Rochester, his brother Eugene Knopp of Oswego, his aunt and uncle Kenneth and Betty McQuaid of Hannibal, his sister-in-law Shirley Haines of Auburn, several nieces and nephews, lifelong friends Rodney and Patricia Leubner, his loyal dog Dotty, and his cats.
Services for Mr. McQuaid will be at 11 A.M. Monday at the Plis Funeral Home. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Friends are invited to call Sunday from 3 to 6 P.M. at the funeral home, 220 State St., Auburn.
