Obituary for Anna L. Travers

Anna L. Travers, 86, of Howlett Hill passed away Wednesday March 27, 2013 in Virginia after a short illness. Born in Syracuse, to the late Leo and Josephine Winter, she was a graduate of Marcellus High School in 1945 and Morrisville State in 1947. She was a member of the Howlett Hill and Westvale Home Bureau and also a communicant of St. Joseph's Church. She was predeceased by her husband Harry Travers in 2008, and sister Mary Blum.
Anna is survived by her daughters Susan (Bob) Deml of Virginia Beach, VA., and Catherine (Richard) Drew of Hamburg, NY; son David (Jill) of Rapidan, VA; sister Dolores Austin of Millerton, PA.; brothers Francis Winter of Chiloquin, OR, and Walt Winter of Marcellus; 6 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday April 17 at St. Joseph's Church. Burial will be in Howlett Hill Cemetery. Friends may call on the family from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday April 16 at the Plis Funeral Home, 33 North St. Marcellus.
Memorial contributions may be made in Anna's memory to the Ronald McDonald House.
