Obituary for Thomas J. Aubin

Thomas J. "Bud" Aubin, 84, of Auburn, died Sunday June 19, 2011, following an extended illness. Mr. Aubin was a life resident of the Auburn area, one of nine children of the late William and Edith Guertin Auburn. He was an Army veteran, serving during WW II. He was a former employee of the Auburn Correctional Facility, retiring in 1980. He was a Past Commander of the Carnicelli-Indelicato Post American Legion, working tirelessly for many years for the Post. He was also active with the Purple Lancers Drum & Bugle Corps, chairing the organization for several years.
"Bud" is survived by his wife, Louise Carnicelli Aubin, and his children James (Melanie) Aubin and Edith (Buddy) Barrette, all of Auburn. Also surviving are four grandchildren Jessica and Joseph Barrette, Thomas J. Aubin II, and Michele Marie Aubin, five great grandchildren, and his daughter-in-law, Dawn Aubin. He was predeceased by his son Thomas W. Aubin in November of 2001.
Funeral services for Mr. Aubin will be at 10:45 A.M. Friday, from the Plis Funeral Home, and 11:30 A.M. In St. Francis of Assisi Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
Friends are invited to call Thursday, from 4 to 7 P.M. At the funeral home, 220 State St.
