Obituary for Ann H. Krystyan

Ann H. Krystyan, 98, of Auburn, passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at Upstate University Hospital, Syracuse, in the loving embrace of her family.
Ann was a life resident of the Auburn area, the daughter of the late Daniel and Martha Homik. She was a graduate of Auburn East High School, and worked as a telephone operator of AT& T until her retirement at age 62. She was a lifelong communicant of SS Peter & Paul Church, and a member of the church Altar Rosary Society. She was an example of someone who lived her Ukrainian Catholic Faith fully, loving its spirituality and traditions. We thank her for her love, and passing on the faith to us.
Ann enjoyed people of all ages, and had perfected the art of listening and generosity.
She is survived by her daughter Joyce (Fred) Guereschi of Memphis, NY, her grandson Michael Guereschi, granddaughter Lori ( Jeremy) Cornue, and great grandchildren Alexis and Lukas Cornue. Also surviving is her sister Janice (David) Stott of Auburn, and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents , she was predeceased by her husband Stanley Krystyan in 1985, her brother John Homik, Brother Dr. Donald and sister-in-law Carol Homik, and her sister Mary Gonza, and husband William.
Funeral services for Mrs. Krystyan will be at 8:30 A.M. Saturday from the Plis Funeral Home, and 9 A.M. in SS Peter & Paul Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Friends are invited to call Friday from 4 to 7 P.M. at the funeral home, 220 State St.
