Obituary for Barbara Donovan (Slade)
Barbara (Slade) Donovan, 81, of Marcellus; affectionately known by her grandchildren as Nana passed away peacefully on Friday February 1, 2019 at Van Duyn Center for Rehab and Nursing, after a long battle with dementia.
Barb worked for years at Wheeler’s Restaurant on Tipp Hill and previously at NIMO. She loved her flower garden, enjoyed baking, playing golf and bargain shopping. She cherished her grand kids and loved spending time with them. She was predeceased by her parents Earl and Elizabeth Slade, sisters Betsy McKenney and Joan McEneny and brother Tom Slade.
Barb is survived by her children Charles (Kim) Donovan, Thomas (Jennifer) Donovan and Tara (Mike) Lanning ; grandchildren Evan Lanning with great grandchild Kaleb Lanning ; Rachel Lanning, Bailey (Greg) Ramsden with great grandchild Dwyer Ramsden; Connor, Riley, Cahal and Brogan Donovan ; sister Carol (John) Doyle and several nieces and nephews.
In abiding by our mothers wishes there will be no calling hours and burial will be private.
A celebration of life will be held at the Navarino Fire Dept. on March 23rd from 2 – 5pm.
