Obituary for Barbara J. McQueeney

Barbara Miskowiec McQueeney, 76, of Auburn, died Friday, June 6, 2014, at Auburn Community Hospital.
Barbara was a life resident of the Auburn area, the daughter of the late Michael and Rose Fritz Miskowiec. She was a former employee of General Electric, Auburn, and PowerEx. She was a communicant of St. Alphonsus Church.
She is survived by her four children and their spouses, Kathleen (Mark) Leonard of Port Byron, Mary Beth (David) Swancott of Rochester, Patrick (Julie) of Detroit, MI, and Joseph (Nora) of San Francisco, CA. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren, Kirsten and Meaghan Thorpe, Andrew and Brendan McQueeney, Sean and Colleen McQueeney, Allyson and Nicholas Swancott, her great granddaughter Gwen Sturdevant, and nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Ronald McQueeney in 2005, her sister Shirley Horbal, and brother-in-law Thomas McQueeney.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 A.M. Monday in St. Alphonsus Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Friends are invited to call Sunday from 3 to 6 P.M. at the Plis Funeral Home, 220 State St., Auburn.
