Obituary for Beverly H. "Bev" Schmidt

Beverly "Bev" H. Schmidt 81, of Marcellus passed away Tuesday April 8, 2014 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Syracuse, to the late Louis and Estella Oster. She owned and operated the Valley Inn with her husband George. Bev was a member of Amber Congregational Church and an honorary member of the Amber Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.
Bev is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years George Schmidt; daughter Brenda (Mark) Henderson of Marietta; sons George "Butch" Schmidt Jr., and Thomas (Noreen) Schmidt both of Amber; grandchildren Matthew and Barbara Henderson and Daniel Schmidt. She is also survived by her sister Patricia Vile of Amber.
Services will be 2 p.m. Monday April 14 at Amber Congregational Church. Friends may call on the family from 2-5 p.m. Sunday April 13 at the Plis Funeral Home, 33 North St., Marcellus.
Memorial contributions may be made to Amber Congregational Church or Hospice of CNY.
