Obituary for Clara Mae Harter

Clara "Mae" Harter, 92 passed away August 13, 2011 in Brandon, Florida. Born and raised in Marcellus, NY, she was the daughter of Enric and Theresa Hackford, and widow of George Harter. She graduated from Marcellus High School in 1936. Clara was a life long member of the Borodino Grange and Borodino Fire Department Ladies' Auxiliary. She worked for Ackles' Apple Orchard.

She is survived by her sister, Frances Randall of Skaneateles, son Fred of Brandon, FL, daughter Sharon of Tampa, FL, 2 grandsons, sister-in-law Jule Hackford, 6 nieces and 3 nephews.

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday August 18, 2011 at the Plis Funeral Home. Burial will be in Thorn Hill Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 1-2 p.m. Thursday prior to the service at the funeral home 33 North St., Marcellus.
