Obituary for Clinton A. Tallman

Clinton A. Tallman, 77, a longtime resident of Marcellus, passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning, November 25, 2020 after a brief illness. He was born on September 26, 1943 to Clinton H Tallman and Elizabeth L (Masters) Tallman in Syracuse, NY.

Clint attended Marcellus Central Schools and served in the US Army from 1967-1969, receiving the National Defense Service Medal as well as reaching the level of expert rifleman. He also served for a short time in Okinawa, Japan. He then graduated from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and received a Bachelor's degree. He was an active member of the American Legion volunteering his time to support events and enjoyed marching in parades. He very much enjoyed following SU basketball, country music and never ever missed any sporting event for either of his children. Clint retired from Onondaga County after working in the public assistance department.

He is survived by his wife, Sara (Sally), children Jeanine (Chandler) Crosby and Thaddeus (Georgena) Tallman. He is also survived by his grandchildren Max, Norah and Daniel with whom he adored spending time.

There will be no public calling hours or services due to Covid, the immediate family will attend a graveside service in Highland Cemetery, Marcellus.

Flowers are respectfully declined however if so desired, donations may be made in his memory to the American Legion Post # 0297 or the Marcellus Fire Dept.
