Obituary for Donald C. Weeks Sr.
Donald Charles Weeks Sr., 94, of Moravia, passed away on Thursday, January 31, 2019, at the commons on St. Anthony in Auburn.
Don was born July 27, 1924 to Gerald and Grace Weeks, and raised in Spafford, New York. He graduated from Scott Union High School, and attended Morrisville Ag & Tech. He was a veteran, and served in the Navy as an Aviation Ordnance man during WW II. Until his retirement he worked in maintenance at Cornell University. With his wife by his side Don built several houses, traveled throughout the East Coast, and enjoyed life. He was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather. He will be missed greatly by his family.
He leaves behind two daughters, Susan Marney of Cape Coral, FL, and Patricia (Paul) Septoski of Martinsville, IN, his grandchildren Daniel Francis, Dennis Francis, Deanna Brock, Carrie Bergman, Kristin Dixon and Michael Weeks as well as many great-grandchildren, and daughter-in-law Carla Weeks. He was predeceased by his wife Oneita Reynolds Weeks, his son Donald Charles Weeks Jr. grandson David Francis and his sister Barbara Grace Weeks.
As per his request, there are no calling hours or services. Burial will be in Scott Cemetery in the spring.
