Obituary for Dora E. Masters

Dora E. Masters, 82, of Marcellus passed away Wednesday Nov. 9, 2011 at Upstate University Hospital @ Community General. Born in Durhamville, NY she was a 1946 graduate of Marcellus Central Schools. She was the co-owner of Marcellus Supply Co., with her husband Ray. She also worked for several years at Key Bank. Dora was a member of the Marcellus United Methodist Church, she loved golfing, crafts, sewing and traveling. One of the greatest joys of her life was spending time with her friends especially in Jensen Beach, Fl.
Dora is survived by her husband of 63 years Raymond; daughters Cynthia (Martin) Hooker of Portsmouth, VA and Nancy (Jack) Braaten of Delmar, NY; sons David (Karen) Masters of Cape Coral, FL and Keith Masters of Poquoson, VA; sister Ruth Kinder; grandchildren Greg (Katie) Masters, Lindsey (Corey) Davis, Jeff (Wendy) Hooker, Craig (Liz) Hooker, Scott, Kara and Megan Braaten; great grandchildren Emaleigh, Kaelyn and Makayla Hooker, Hanna Davis and Avery Masters and many special nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a grandson Anthony Hooker.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday Nov. 12, 2011 at Marcellus United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call on the family from 9:30-11 a.m. Saturday prior to the service at the church 1 Slocomb Ave., Marcellus.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Marcellus United Methodist Church or Stephen Masters/Elaine Withey Scholarship Fund, C/O Key Bank 32 Jordan St. Skaneateles, NY 13152.
