Obituary for Dorothy Bayus

Dorothy Bayus, of Auburn, died Thursday March 7, at the Finger Lakes Center for Living.
Dorothy was a life resident of the Auburn area, the daughter of the late Afton and Helen Tarby Bayus. She was a graduate of Auburn Senior High School. She received her Certificate in Dental Hygiene, from the Eastman School of Dentistry in Rochester, and worked as a Dental Hygienist for the Auburn School District. While working, she earned a Masters Degree in Library Science from Syracuse University, and continued in the Auburn School District as a Librarian at several schools until her retirement.
She was a member of St. Mary's Church, NYSUT, CORN, and CCRTA.
Dorothy is survived by her sister Julia and brothers Albert (Frances), Frank (Shirley), and Victor (Mary), a special niece Karen, all of Auburn, and several other nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her sister Anna Shea, and brother Michael Bayus.
Funeral services are private, there are no calling hours. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
Contributions may be made in her memory to the charity of your choice.
