Obituary for Dorothy H. Case

Dorothy H. Case, 93, of Marcellus passed away Monday Feb. 21, 2011 at home. She retired from Community General Hospital as an LPN after working there for 25 years. She owned and raised horses since 1957. Dorothy was a delegate to the NYS Horse Breeders Association for 34 years and a charter member of the NYS Plantation Walking Horse Club. She was predeceased by her daughter Jacqueline Thompson in 1985.
Dorothy is survived by her daughters Sharron Corr and Patricia (Gene) Chapman; son Neil (Kathy) Loomis; sisters Barbara Jane Ryan and Eleanor Hulbert; brother Richard B. Hunt; son in law Gerald Welch; grandchildren Kimberly, Karla, Kirsten, Neil, Joey, Robin, Wendy, Danielle and Lisa and 17 great grandchildren.
Services for Dorothy were 1 p.m. Thursday Feb. 24, 2011 at Marietta United Christian Church. The family will greet friends following the service.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to either Marcellus Ambulance or to the Humane Society HSUS for benefit of TWH.
