Dorothy L. Hobart, 98 1/2, of Marietta passed away peacefully August 28, 2022, surrounded by family. She worked as a claims examiner for the State of New York for 25 years. She held a variety of interests that included showing and jumping horses, playing and teaching the piano, drawing and painting, and spending time with family. She is predeceased by her parents, brothers, husband Charlie, daughter Nancy and Nancy’s husband Michael, and her great grandson Adam. She leaves behind two daughters- Christine Sessions and Darlene Butler, her granddaughters – Tami Irish (Joseph), Sarah Hawk (Ryan), Amy Pichoske (Stephen), 7 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by a niece and a nephew, neighbors and friends.
Calling hours will be Saturday September 3, from 11am -1pm with the funeral immediately following at Plis Funeral Home, 33 North ST., Marcellus. Burial will be at St. Francis Cemetery, Marcellus.
