Obituary for Flora "Betty" Henderson

Flora "Betty" Henderson, 86, of Marietta passed away Tuesday August 19, 2014 at Upstate University Hospital at Community General. Born in Watertown to the late Earle and Beulah Golding. Betty retired from the Marcellus Central School as a secretary in the guidance office. She was a member of the Marcellus United Methodist Church and a member of the church choir. She also was a member of the Marcellus Chorale. She loved to play pinochle, go camping and flower arranging. She was predeceased by her husband John Henderson on June 4, 2013 and brothers Ronald Golding Earle Golding Jr.
Betty is survived by her children James (Debbra), Thomas (Debbie), Mark (Brenda), John (Linda), Susan (Bill) Leubner, Peter (Shari) and Steven (Melissa); Sister Marilyn May; brother Paul Golding; 16 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren, with 2 more on the way and several nieces and nephews.
Services for Betty will be 11 a.m. Saturday August 23 at the Marcellus United Methodist Church. Calling hours will be from 10-11 a.m. Saturday prior to the service at church, 1 Slocombe Ave. Marcellus.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Marcellus United Methodist Church or Casowasco Summer Campership Fund, C/O Marcellus United Methodist Church.
