Obituary for Gene Hawley

Gene Hawley, 81, of Auburn, died Thursday, October 9, 2014. Mr. Hawley was born in Weedsport, the son of the late Leroy and Marjorie Coffin Hawley. He was an accountant, and worked for numerous businesses in the area. He loved gardening, traveling and spending time with family. He was a former member of the Masonic Lodge. He was a member of Second Baptist Church in Auburn.
He is survived by his wife, the former Gloria Cobbett, his four children, Kevin Hawley of Corning, Lori-Jean (Taras) Zajac of Ft. Wayne, IN, Kathleen (Dale) Fleshman of Cleveland, OH, and Lisa Hawley of Auburn, and seven grandchildren. He was predeceased by a grandchild, and a great grandchild.
Funeral services for Mr. Hawley will be at 11 A.M. Monday, October 13, in Second Baptist Church, Auburn. The family will receive friends in the church from 10 to 11 A.M. prior to the service. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Throop.
Contributions may be made in Mr. Hawley's memory to Second Baptist Church.
