Obituary for Gene M. Stafford

Gene M. Stafford, 82, of Marcellus passed away Monday July 1, 2013 at Rosewood Heights. Born in Auburn, to the late Francis and Edwina Ide, Gene worked in the billing department at Community General Hospital. She was a veteran of the Air Force serving during the Korean Conflict. She formerly volunteered at Community General Hospital, and the Marcellus Library. Gene was predeceased by her husband James in 1990.
Gene is survived by her daughter Laurie Stafford of Rome; son Robert and daughter-in-law Kim Stafford of Pennellville; sister Betty Cottrell of Elbridge; 3 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday July 27 at the Plis Funeral Home. Burial with military honors will be in Highland Cemetery, Marcellus. Calling hours will be from 12 noon-1 p.m. Saturday July 27, 2013 prior to the service at the funeral home 33 North St., Marcellus
