Obituary for Gerald L. Gilfilian

Gerald L. Gilfilian, 79, of Otisco Valley, passed away Tuesday November 7, 2017 at home. Born in Syracuse to the late Clifford and Rowena Gilfilian, he was a truck driver for Roadway Trucking. Jerry loved to ride his lawnmower around the neighborhood, talking with all of his neighbors and telling a good story.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years Gloria; children June (Rob) Stahl, Sherry (Steve) Smith, Geraldine (Darrell) Nolan, Robin Gilfilian, Clifford (Shannon) Gilfilian, Melissa (Jon) Johnson and James Gilfilian, 23 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. He also leaves behind his siblings, Joyce McDonough, Karen Knapp, Judy Bryant and Gordon Gilfilian along with several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be from 1-4 p.m. Saturday November 11 at the Plis Funeral Home, 33 North St., Marcellus. Private family burial will be in Amber Cemetery.
