Obituary for Gordon "Butch" Reed Jr.

Gordon C. (Butch) Reed, Jr., 59, of Auburn, died Saturday March
26, 2011. Butch was a life resident of the Auburn area. He was a
Nurse Practitioner, working at the Auburn Nursing Home. He was
formerly employed by Loretto. He was a member of Council 207
Knights of Columbus, and the Weedsport Rod & Gun Club. He was an
avid outdoors man who enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife Maureen Desmond Reed, his daughter
Meghan (David) Cashin of LeRoy, his son Jason (Sarah) with the US
Army in Afganistan, his granddaughter Leah Cashin, mother Jean
Conner Reed and brother Mark (Kristin) Reed. Also surviving is
his brother-in-law William (Kathleen) Desmond, several nieces and
nephews, including Rachel and Christopher Desmond, and his
faithful friend Hunter. He was predeceased by his father Gordon
C. Reed Sr..

"Butch truly enjoyed being with family, especially his
granddaughter Leah."

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 A.M. Saturday in
Holy Family Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
Friends are invited to call Friday from 4 to 7 P.M. At the Plis
Funeral Home, 220 State St.

Contributions may be made in his memory to the USO or the
American Diabetes Assoc.
