Obituary for Helen M. Mohn
Helen M. Mohn, 99, of Marcellus passed away Wednesday August 20, 2014 surrounded by her family. Born in Niagara Falls, she resided in Lansing, then moved to Navarino , finally residing in Marcellus at Maple Landing Retirement Apartments where she had many friends. Helen was always spending time with her family and dedicating many hours with church groups and the community. Helen was predeceased by her husband William and grandchildren James Powers and Priscilla Schenck.
Helen is survived by her daughters Marie Powers of Newfield, Dorothy Schenck of Moravia, Ruth (Mike) Cates of Marietta, Carolyn Frost of Auburn and son William (Susan) Mohn of Marietta; 15 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren.
Services for Helen will be 11 a.m. Monday August 25 at the Apple Valley United Methodist Church, where she was a member. The family will greet friends from 10-11 a.m. Monday prior to the service at the church 4389 S. Onondaga Rd., Nedrow. She will be buried in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Navarino.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Navarino Community Food Pantry, PO Box 126 Marietta, NY 13110.
