Obituary for Hildegard Spin
Hildegard Deuerling Spin, 88, of Auburn, died Monday, October 8, 2012, at Hospice Buffalo, following a brief illness.
Mrs. Spin was a native of Altenkunstad, Germany, and has resided in the Auburn area for more than 60 years. She worked in the meat department of SuperDuper Market, Genesee St., for many years. Prior to retirement, she also worked at Wegman's. In retirement, she enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and antiques.
She is survived by her son Ilko Spin of Auburn, her daughter Nina (Tom) Colson, of Buffalo, her three granddaughters Olivia, Emma and Gabrielle Colson, and several nieces and nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband William Spin in 2006, and her grandson Colin Colson.
Funeral services for Mrs. Spin will be at 10 A.M. Monday, at the Plis Funeral Home. Burial will be in Fort Hill Cemetery. Friends are invited to call Sunday from 5 to 7 P.M. at the funeral home, 220 State St.
