Obituary for Jane A. Havrelak

Jane A. Kubis Hawrelak, 97, of Auburn, died Monday, April 8, 2013, with her family by her side at the Mercy Health & Rehabilitation Center.
Mrs. Hawrelak was born in Auburn on February 15, 1916, the daughter of the late Jacob and Anna Kubis. Until her retirement in 1981, she was employed by Auburn Memorial Hospital. She was a communicant of St. Hyacinth's Church, and a member of the Altar Rosary Society at the church.
She loved spending time with her family, enjoyed bingo, and working in her garden and flower beds.
Jane is survived by her son Richard (Carol) Hawrelak of Savannah, NY, her daughter Jane (Craig) Westlake of Auburn, her grandchildren Tina (Sam) Adamson, Lorraine (Peter) Stone, and Eric (Kara) Hawrelak, and step-grandchildren Michael (Kathleen) Westlake, Brian (Shelly) Westlake and Brandy (Rick) Schill. Also surviving are her great-grandchildren Andrew and Jared Adamson, Baden and Graeme Hawrelak, Carina and Addison Stone, step-great grandchildren Brianna and Brynn Westlake, and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her Husband John in 1975, and her daughter Krysha, and brother and Sisters Helen Surowiec, Ceclia Jach, Walter, Joseph and John Kubis.
Funeral services for Mrs. Hawrelak will be at 10 A.M. Thursday from the Plis Funeral Home, and 10:30 A.M. in St. Hyacinth's Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Friends are invited to call Wednesday from 4 to 7 P.M. at the funeral home, 220 State St., Auburn.
Contributions may be made in Jane's memory to St. Hyacinth's Church renovation Fund.
