Obituary for Janet M. Cherba (Sereta)
Janet M. Cherba, 86, of Marcellus, NY, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2023, at Upstate Medical Center Community Campus in Syracuse, NY.
Born in Hazleton, she was the daughter of the late John and Veronica (Lapinsky) Sereta. She lived in Beaver Meadows for several years before moving to Marcellus in 1989.
She was the wife of the late Robert Cherba. Surviving are: daughter Mary Carlic and husband Stephen of Marcellus; daughter Tricia Snow and husband Matthew of Camillus, NY; and son Michael Cherba and wife Lynne of New Coxeville. Also surviving are grandchildren Taylor, Grace and Carolyn Carlic and Joshua and Madeline Snow.
There are no calling hours. A private memorial is planned.
