Janice Waters, 76, of Syracuse passed away Friday December 17, 2021 at Crouse hospital after a short illness. Born in Syracuse to the late Robert and Elizabeth Waters, she was a graduate of Buffalo State and Syracuse University. Jan lived in Sienna, Italy before returning to the Syracuse area where she was an Art Teacher for East Syracuse Minoa School District. Jan had a love for art and water colors, which lead her to being a member of the Bradford Art Guild, Art & Soul Water Color Group, Onondaga Art Guild and CNY Water Color Society.
Jan is survived by her cherished cat Sox, nieces Cathleen Waters, Cristina (Mark Thompson) Waters, great niece Nina Franke, sister in law Sharon Waters, long time care giver Tami Ross and special friends Gilda Leblanc, Peg McCarthy and Kathy Wherling.
Per Jan’s wishes there will be no services.
