Jean Larraine Pelchy Nightingale passed away July 12, 2022 peacefully at her home Monday evening in Borodino. Born July 10, 1948 to Richard and Hilda Bennink Pelchy in Syracuse.
Jean loved her many cats throughout the years. Boudicca and Princess will miss her. She loved knitting afghans and crocheting. She enjoyed trying to teach her granddaughter Alexis how to crochet.
She was past member of the Borodino Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and currently a Trustee and Correspondence Secretary of the Marcellus Historical Society. She graduated from Marcellus High School and has lived in Borodino for the last 47 years.
Jean leaves her husband Doug, and daughter Elizabeth Alfreds, son-in-law Fred Alfreds as well as her grandchildren Alexis Nightingale-Stevens, Michael Stevens and Meghan Alfreds, and two great grandsons, and step-grandson Rick Alfreds, her sister Karen (Ed) Pollard, many cousins, nieces and nephews.
There will be no calling hours. She will be laid to rest in a private ceremony in Highland Cemetery, Marcellus.
