Obituary for John E. Henderson

John E. Henderson 87, of Marietta passed away Tuesday June 4, 2013 at Upstate University Hospital @ Community General. Born in Marcellus, he worked for General Electric for 29 years as an accountant. John was a veteran of the US Army serving during WWII. He was a member of the Marcellus United Methodist Church, Morning Star Lodge #525 F.A&M, and the Ralph Share American Legion Post #297.
John is survived by his wife of 63 years the former Betty Golding; children James (Debbra), Thomas (Debbie), Mark (Brenda), John (Linda), Susan (Bill) Leubner, Peter (Shari) and Steven (Melissa); sisters Mora Sanders of Syracuse and Jane Gere of Marcellus; 15 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Services for John will be 11 a.m. Saturday June 8, at the Marcellus United Methodist Church. Calling hours will be from 10-11 a.m. Saturday prior to the service at the church 1 Slocombe Ave. Marcellus.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Marcellus United Methodist Church or Casowasco Summer Campership Fund, C/O Marcellus United Methodist Church.
