Obituary for John D. Stalker

John D. Stalker, 64, of Pennellville passed away Wednesday November 20, 2013 at Morningstar Residential Care Center in Oswego surrounded by his loving family. Born in Syracuse, John was raised in Marcellus and western Pennsylvania. He retired as a security guard at Upstate University Hospital, prior to being a security guard he was a graduate of Slippery Rock State Teacher's College and employed with D.J. Heaphy for over 30 years, he is the "sheet metal man." John loved to go to sporting events especially the Syracuse Chiefs, SU Football and the Syracuse Crunch. He also loved to travel with his Sandy. John was predeceased by his father Robert Stalker in 2004.
John is survived by his daughters Alicia (Jesus Perez) Stalker and Kerri Stalker; mother Carol Stalker of Marcellus; brothers Donald (Harriet) Stalker and Charles (Rachael) Stalker. He also leaves behind the love of his life Sandra M. Wilson and their children William (Diana) Stonecipher Jr., Sandra (Sean) Webb, Wendy (Rick) Radney and Pastor Jeffery (Shelby) Stonecipher; 10 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren. Nieces Becky (Peter) Hakes and Tracy (Denise) Stalker, 1 great nephew, 1 great niece and his faithful companions Joseph and Queen Bee.
A memorial service for John will be 10 a.m. Tuesday November 26, at the Pennellville United Methodist Church, 389 County Route 54 Pennellville, NY.
Memorial contributions may be made to either the American Cancer Society or the Pennellville United Methodist Church.
