Obituary for Joseph B. Noga

Joseph B. Noga, 86, of Auburn, died Friday, February 4, 2011. Mr. Noga was a life resident of the Auburn area, the son of the late John and Helen Tarala Noga. He was a member of the Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Union, Local 2. He was a Navy veteran of WW II, serving in the South Pacific. He was a communicant of St. Hyacinth's Church, a member and Past President of the Polish Falcons. He was an avid golfer, and was a member and former director of Highland Golf Club.
He is survived by his daughter Donna Derby and her husband Dale, and his son Paul Noga, all of Auburn, and his brother Henry (Ruby) Noga. Also surviving are five grandchildren Eric, Sherri and Dale Derby, and Brandon and Paul Noga Jr., 2 great grandchildren, Caleb and Camryn Derby, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Ellen Tyrell Noga in 1993, and his brother John R. Noga.
Funeral services for Mr. Noga will be at 9:30 A.M. Tuesday, from the Plis Funeral Home, and 10 A.M. in St. Hyacinth's Church. Burial will be in St Joseph's Cemetery.
Friends are invited to call Monday, from 4 to 7 P.M. at the funeral home, 220 State St., Auburn.
