Obituary for Joy L. Alaniz (Schreiber)
Joy Alaniz, 53, passed away June 25, 2020, at Crouse Hospital in Syracuse. Joy was a loving mother, caring wife, dependable sister, and joyful friend. Her love was endless, and touched any heart that was lucky enough to know her.
The legacy she left will continue through her loving husband of 29 years Cesar and their six children, Autumn (Jesse), Kaitlyn, Bethany, Matthew, Megan and Luke and 2 grandchildren Mackenzie and Hunter. Joy also leaves behind her mother Yvonne Schreiber and brothers Scott (Penny), Chris (Sherry), Mark and Steven and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father John Schreiber in 2017.
Calling hours will be from 4-7pm Monday at Plis Funeral Home, 33 North St. Marcellus (social distancing, face covering required and limited attendees in building at a time). Services will be private for the family and burial will be in Thorn Hill Cemetery.
