Obituary for Julia Walser

Julia Murinka "Jakie" Walser, 94, of Perrine t., Auburn, died Wednesday, May 23, following a brief illness.
"Jakie" was a life resident of the Auburn area, the daughter of the late John and Mary Stopen Murinka. She was employed by Dunn-McCarthy, retiring in 1979. She had been an avid bowler, and in the 40's was a member of the Royal Queens Woman's Basketball team. She was a communicant of Ss Peter 7 Paul Church, and a member of the UNC Pyrohi Workers.
She is survived by her sisters Helen Raesler and Barbara Murinka, and her brother Peter Murinka, all of Auburn, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Wilbur Walser in 1960, sisters Ann Murinka, Mary Bolak and Patricia Maywalt, and her brothers Michael, Nicholas and Andrew Murinka.
Funeral services will be 9 A.M. Tuesday, from the Plis Funeral Home, and 9:30 A.M. in SS Peter & Paul Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Friends are invited to call Monday, from 4 to 7 P.M. at the funeral home, 220 State St..
Contributions may be made in her memory the SS Peter & Paul Church.
