Obituary for Karen W. VanScoyk (Wilson)

Karen Wilson VanScoyk, 69, of Auburn, died Wednesday, February 20, 2019, following an extended illness.
Karen was a life resident of the Auburn area, the daughter of the late Raymond and Helen Bartosik Wilson. She attended St. Hyacinth’s School and Mount Carmel High School, and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Speech Pathology from Ithaca College. She taught at St. Mary’s and retired from St. Joseph’s School. She enjoyed quilting, baking and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Karen is survived by her children Michelle (Russ) Eagle of Randolph, NY, Jonathan (Kelly) VanScoyk and Kari (Patrick) Aiduk of Syracuse. Also surviving are six grandchildren Reesee Burroughs, Kelsey DeMillo, Johnny, Luka and Kenzie VanScoyk and Mya Aiduk. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by an infant son Kevin Michael VanScoyk.
Funeral services will be at 10:15 A.M. Monday from the Plis Funeral Home, and 11 A.M. in St. Mary’s Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery
Friends are invited to call Sunday from 4 to 7 P.M. at the funeral home, 220 State St., Auburn.
