Obituary for Kenneth G. Gerbsch

Kenneth Gerhard Gerbsch, 85, of Marcellus passed away Wednesday December 9, 2020 at Iroquois Nursing Home. Born in Berlin, Germany to the late Gerhard and Jenny Schmiedel Gerbsch, he immigrated to the United States on December 24, 1947. He graduated from Geneva High School and Syracuse University, and then entered the U.S. Army, serving in both the United States and Germany. Upon discharge, he went to work as an engineer for O’Brien and Gere Engineers for over 45 years, where he was well known around the world for his work with the company.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years the former Mary Vidler; children Amy (Joseph) Kiselica, Marc Gerbsch, Todd Gerbsch (Tammy Poirier) and Scott (Margaret) Gerbsch. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Erin and Michael Kiselica, Madison and Jack Gerbsch, and Jason, Tyler and Colin Gerbsch, and a sister, Barbara (Jerry) Haines.
Service at this time will be private for the family.
