Laura (Volles) Brock, loving and devoted mother and grandmother passed away peacefully Tuesday May 14, 2019. Born in Marietta, NY to the late Glen and Grace Foster, she was faithful Christian woman devoted to the church’s Woman’s Circle and other church groups. . She loved gardening and attending to her flowers, she enjoyed sewing and reading especially poetry and was a wonderful cook and baker.
She was the loving mother of Norman (Nancy) Volles, Jeanne (Jerry) Spoon, Ralph (Jennie Searle) Volles, Roxann (David) Bailer, Roger (Christine) Volles and Deanna (Carl Hosmer) Keehfus; she also leaves behind 22 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, sister Marie Volles and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was also predeceased by her husband Lester Brock, granddaughter Pamela Spoon, and sisters Marion Ramsden and Lucy Foster.
Services for Laura will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday May 18 at the United Christian Church of Marietta. The family will greet friends and family from 9-10:30 prior to the service at the church 2851 Sevier Rd. Marietta, NY.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to United Christian Church of Marietta or a charity of one’s choice.
