Obituary for Leona Wilcox

Leona Wilcox, 92, of Marcellus passed away Wednesday January 7, 2015 at The Commons on County House Road. Born in Preble, NY on November 8, 1922 to the late Henry and Marion Murphy, she was a seamstress for E.W. Edwards and JC Penny. Leona was involved in various activities with church and local social groups. She was predeceased by her husband of 49 years Richard H. Wilcox who passed in 1994.
Leona is survived by her children Jerry (Sandy), Gary (Linda) and Christine (Dirk). She also leaves behind her grandchildren Melissa, Matt and Kelsey and great grandchildren Nolan and Aden.
Services for Leona will be 4 p.m. Sunday January 11 at the Plis Funeral Home. Spring burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Otisco. Relatives and friends may call on the family from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, 33 North St., Marcellus prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the Marcellus Historical Society.
