Obituary for Margaret F. Seal

Margaret F. Seal, 97, of Elbridge, passed away Monday, May 16. Born and raised in Syracuse she moved to Marcellus, where her father had purchased a farm during the great depression after his employer the Franklin Motor Car Company failed. She met her future husband Ralph there and they were married in July 1940. Their loving relationship spanned 55 years until his passing in 1996. Over those years many summer vacations were spent at the family cottage on Wellesely Island on the St Lawrence River. After her husband��(TM)s retirement they wintered in Venice, Fl, until his passing.
Margaret was an active member of the Marcellus United Methodist Church and its Women��(TM)s circle. She especially enjoyed her flower gardening.
Margaret is survived by her two sons Ralph of Redding, Ca and David and his wife Alina of Borodino, two nieces, grand nephews and nieces and great grand nieces.
A memorial service will be 8 p.m. Monday June 13, 2011 at the Plis Funeral Home. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday June 14, 2011 at Oakwood Cemetery (Comstock Ave. Entrance). Friends may call on the family from 6-8 p.m. Monday prior to the service at the funeral home, 33 North St., Marcellus.
In lieu of flowers contribution may be made to the Marcellus United Methodist Church 1 Slocombe Ave. Marcellus, NY 13108.
