Obituary for Mark H. Novak

Mark H. Novak, 62, of Auburn, died Friday, August 3, 2018, at Strong Hospital, Rochester, following an extended illness.
Mark was a life resident of the Auburn area, the son of the late John and Veronica Matviak Novak. He was a graduate of Auburn High School, and Albany Medical Center, graduating 3rd in his class. Mark was a Physician’s Assistant, and had worked for PHP. He was a musician, and had bands all through High School. Mark enjoyed sports, including golf and especially tennis, being a member of a group that traveled to Puerto Rico annually to play.
He is survived by his wife Christine E. Rinaldi, two daughters, Alexandra and Roxana, a granddaughter Grace, his sisters Nadine Kubisch and Andrea Landry, several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father John Novak and just recently his mother Veronica Novak Thoryk.
Friends are invited to funeral services which will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the Plis Funeral Home, 220 State St. Burial will be in St. Nicholas Cemetery, Half Acre.
Contributions may be made in Mark’s memory to St. Nicholas Orthodox Church.
