Mark J. Tracy, 65, of Marietta, went home to be with the Lord on May 22, 2021 in his home surrounded by his family. He fought a very short, yet aggressive battle with cancer. Mark was a graduate of Onondaga Central Schools, he proudly served in the Army Reserves and was honorably discharged in 1980. Later, while raising a family, pursued a criminal justice degree at Onondaga Community College. He retired from St. Joseph’s hospital where he worked for over 20 years. He enjoyed his job and greeting people every day with his beautiful smile. He loved to hunt and fish, and tell “fish stories”. He cherished his time in the Adirondacks at his family camp and often helping his brother on their many projects during his visits. His friendships and spending time with loved ones meant everything to him. If you asked him, he would tell you his greatest blessings were his children and grandchildren. They loved and depended on him.
Mark is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Kathy, his children Renee (Corey) Dwyer and Colin, and his 5 grandchildren, to whom he was “Papa”. Ciara, Kiley, Kayla, Kieran and Finnigan. Additionally his siblings, Mike (Nancy), Cathy, Jody (Mort), Patrick, Jamie.
He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
