Obituary for Mary Cerep

Mary Bolak Cerep, 94, of Syracuse, died Thursday, October 27, 2011. She was a native of Forest City, PA, the daughter of the late Nicholas and Katherine Perun Bolak. She resided in the Auburn are for a number of years before moving to Syracuse in 1955. She was a former employee of the B.G. Salze Co., retiring in 1982. After retirement, she was a homemaker who took great pride in her home.
Mary was a loving mother and grandmother, and leaves her daughters Joan Doucet of Syracuse and Larraine and Tony Amalfitano of Baldwinsville, Four grandchildren Joseph and David Doucet, and Sarah and Jonathan Amalfitano, her sister in law Nicolina Bolak, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph Cerep in 1961, her sisters Katherine Bolak, Anne Connor and Martha Howland, and brothers Michael and Peter Bolak.

Funeral services for Mrs. Cerep will be at 9:30 A.M. Monday, from the Plis Funeral Home, and 10 A.M. in SS Peter & Paul Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Friends are invited to call Sunday from 2 to 4 P.M. at the funeral home, 220 State St., Auburn.
