Obituary for Mary R. Morgan

Mary R. Morgan, 95, of Marcellus passed away Monday June 9, 2014 at Van Duyn Home & Hospital. Born in Marathon, NY to the late Merton and Anna Taylor, she worked at Carrier Corp., as an expeditor for 28 years retiring in 1980. Before moving to Marcellus Mary lived in Howlett Hill for 50 years, where she was a member of the Howlett Hill Presbyterian Church. Mary was also a member of the Morning Star Chapter #289 O.E.S., and past matron in 1984. Mary was a loving mother and grandmother who willingly volunteered her time to several organizations within her community. She enjoyed life and loved to travel. She was predeceased by her husband Kenneth Morgan in 1975 six siblings, Erne, Frank, Harold, John, Betty Lou and Doris, son-in-law Ted Esterguard in 2006 and grandson Eric McKeen.
Mary is survived by her daughters Alice Esterguard of Howlett Hill, Jean (Herbert) McKeen of Syracuse; son Roy (Ann) Orr of Marcellus; 10 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and one great great grandson.
Friends and relatives may call on the family from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday June 12 at the Plis Funeral Home, 33 North St., Marcellus. Services for Mary will be private for the family. Burial will be in Howlett Hill Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to the Golisano Children's Hospital, 750 E. Adams St. Syracuse, NY 13210 or your favorite charity.
