Obituary for Michael Lepak

Michael Lepak, 85, of Auburn passed away Sunday July 22, 2012 at Auburn Community Hospital. Life resident of Auburn, he worked as a heavy equipment operator for Upstate Operating Engineers. Mike was an Army veteran serving during WWII. He was a life member of the VFW Post 1975, member of the UNC and Auburn Bowling Association 700 Club. He was predeceased by his parents Stephen and Tillie Kowal Lepak; sisters Stella Paluda and Marion O'Brien and special friend Mary Holmes.
Mike is survived by his sisters Anne McDonald, Helen Dudek and Alyce Petrecki; nieces and nephews Richard O'Brien, Cynthia Paluda McCready, Maureen O'Brien Young, Diane Dudek Taylor and Mark Petrecki and faithful companion Brandy.
Services will be 9:30 a.m. Thursday from the Plis Funeral Home and 10 a.m. in SS Peter and Paul Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Fleming. Friends may call on the family from 4-6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home 220 State St., Auburn.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to either the SPCA 41 York St. Auburn, NY 13210.
