Obituary for Michael Rodak

Michael Rodak, 88, of Camillus, died Thursday at Upstate Medical Center Community General Campus, following a brief illness.
Mr. Rodak was a native of Hart Lot, living in the area all of his life. He was an Army veteran of WW II, and received the Purple Heart. He was a former employee of Syracuse, University, retiring after more than 32 years of service. He was a member of the American Legion, Skaneateles Falls, the Disabled American Veterans, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He is survived by his sons, Robert (Nancy) Rodak of Elbridge, and Thomas Rodak of Bridgeport, Nebraska, four grandchildren Matthew and Ann Rodak, and Travis and Tomi Rodak, three great grandchildren, his sister Mary Ruta of Auburn, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Irene Hryvko Rodak in 1985, his sister Helen Zink, and his brothers Joseph and John Rodak.
Funeral services for Mr. Rodak will be at 9:30 A.M. Wednesday at the Plis Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Nicholas Cemetery, Half Acre. Friends are invited to call on Tuesday, from 4 to 7 P.M. at the funeral home, 220 State St., Auburn.
