Nancy (Kurtz) Ramsden, 96, passed away peacefully at her home on March 18, 2023. She was born in Syracuse, and graduated from Central High School. She married Raymond Ramsden and moved to Navarino, where she raised 8 children who will miss her dearly.
Nancy loved working on the farm helping with the cows and many other animals, especially she loved her geese. She was an avid reader and her sense of humor will be missed by all. Once all of the children were grown she went to work at Community General Hospital and retired in 1996.
Nancy is survived by her brother Bruce Kurtz, children, Edward (Rosa) Ramsden, Jack Ramsden, Michael Ramsden, Raymond (Joellen) Ramsden, Andrew Ramsden, Tina (Terry) Ramsden, Linda (Brian) Bishop and Daniel (Amy) Ramsden. Grandchildren, Kayla Ramsden, Katie (Ryan) Freitas, Cassandra (Evan) Mann, Jacob Ramsden, Jason Keehfus, Lisa Dudzinski, Mark Ramsden, Michael (Meghan) Ramsden, Joseph Ramsden and Daniel Ramsden, great grandchildren, Eva Freitas, Estelle Mann, Max Keehfus, Rhys Ramsden and Charles Ramsden.
A gathering for friends and family will be held at the Navarino Fire Department, 3276 Amber Road, Syracuse, NY on Sunday March 26, from 1-4 p.m., in Nancy’s memory.
