Obituary for Patrick H. Sadowski

Patrick H. Sadowski, 73, of Auburn, AL formerly of Central Square passed away Wednesday October 8, 2014 at home. Born in Syracuse to the late Joseph and Alice (Podgorski) Sadowski, Pat resided in Syracuse until he joined the US Marines in 1958, in which he served 3 tours in Vietnam. Pat was a machine technician at Syracuse China for 44 years retiring in 2007, when he moved to Auburn, AL. Pat loved camping with his family, the more the merrier. His family camped in almost every state park in New York. He especially loved Cheney Pond near Newcomb, NY. He loved fishing and went deep-sea fishing with his brothers-in-law many times. He was an avid collector of WWII memorabilia and enjoyed an extended collection.
Pat is survived by his wife of 40 years the former Ella Amidon; daughters Gloria (Edward) DeMott of Parish, NY, Robin (Albert) Riggs Rosa of Naples, FL, and Sherry Bouchard of Liverpool, NY; sons Kenneth (Deanna) Sadowski of Liverpool, NY, Terrance (Crystal) Sadowski of Mohawk, TN, David (Renee) Sadowski of Clay, NY and Richard (Ann) Sadowski of Liverpool, NY; brother Alexander (Barbara) Sadowski of Bridgeport, NY, 21 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren. Pat was predeceased by his parents and a brother Thomas Sadowski.
Services for Pat will be 11 a.m. Monday October 13 at the Plis Funeral Home. Burial with military honors will be in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Navarino. Calling hour will be from 4-6 p.m. Sunday Oct 12 and 10-11 a.m. Monday prior to the service at the funeral home 33 North St., Marcellus.
