Obituary for Philip B. Clark

Philip B. Clark, 82, went to be with the Lord Thursday, October 20, 2011. The founder of Diversified Concepts, Inc. of Marcellus was a resident of Onondaga County for over fifty years. A licensed Professional Engineer, Phil was a brilliant man, respected by his peers.

A 1952 Electrical Engineering graduate of Syracuse University, he was a member of Tau Beta Pi, the national Engineering Honor Society. Upon graduation he worked for SU Research Corp then launched his own company, Empire Services, in 1955, a forerunner of DCi Sound. He and his company were industry leaders in sound reinforcement.

He was a man of ingenuity and vision, tremendous character and integrity; the best dad and husband in the world. He is survived by his wife Lauri, the love of his life; three daughters: Dee (Mark) Murakami, Lyn (David) May, and Pye (Stephen) Pajewski; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and his sister Judith Clark. His faith in Jesus as his Savior was quietly expressed as he interacted with neighbors and business associates. He will be greatly missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the United Christian Church in Marietta on November 5, 2011 at 2:00 PM.

Donations to the Spafford Area Historical Society or to the United Christian Church of Marietta are encouraged in lieu of flowers.
